Through my partnership with Career Hub, a career advice blog, I have contributed to a book on resume writing that is available for free. It’s full of great writing tips and strategies from experts in the careers field.

Barbara,
Good evening. I’ve had the opportunity to read the post on JibberJobber.com where I found reference to your blog and comments.
Being myself a Latin American job seeker, I’ve learned that keeping always at hand a resume, even though it’s only a small part of the whole job search process, as long as it’s a carefully crafted document, it can be a useful tool particularly in front of not always professional recruiters.
Some time ago, I read on careerjournal.com a series of articles from Tim Johnston where he described his quest for a new job; it was really apealling when he shared his views about reviewing our resumes.
He said: “A resume review never means being done”. Quite true.
Best regards.

Mario,
Thanks for your comments. Tim Johnston co-authored a book called Diary of a Job Search, which like the articles you refer to, describes his quest for a new job. It’s a great read because it acknowledges the fact that job search is not easy, but in the end the exploration can be quite rewarding. Keeping an updated resume makes the process a little bit easier.
